On 5th May 2023, Medion received a visit from YB Datuk Dr. Abdul Rahman bin Ismail with his team from the Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development (M-FICORD), and the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) Sarawak, Malaysia. This visit aims to directly evaluate various Medion plants, facilities and technologies, especially the Avian Influenza (AI) vaccine. Medivac, Medion vaccine products have been registered in Sarawak and used by farmers in East Malaysia.

The activity held in Cimareme, Padalarang, Bandung, began with remarks from Peter Yan, Commissioner of Medion, and the introduction of representatives from M-FICORD and DVS. TThen delivered a presentation “Control Strategies of Avian Influenza H9N2 in Indonesia” by drh. Debby Saraswati, Biological Product Technical Support Medion. In the second session, drh. Ernawati, the Veterinary Drug Monitoring Directorate of Animal Health staff, Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia presented “AI Situation and The Registration of Animal Drugs in Indonesia”.

The activity continued with a plant tour to some of Medion’s newest facilities, namely the Animal Health Research Center (AHRC) which is the center of research and development of the latest products. Our guests were very impressed with Medion’s products, because the use of high-quality raw materials and have state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. In addition, the implementation of good cold chain management ensures that the quality of vaccines is maintained to the hands of consumers.

The plant tour ended with a visit to the poultry equipment manufacturing hall. Visitors experienced the production process of various plastic products, such as chicken feeders and drinkers, and the production of vaccine bottles. It also introduces the process by which the product is packaged and shipped to the consumer.

Representatives of M-FICORD shared a positive impression during their visit. Medion already has research-based manufacturing facilities and strict quality control, so all products produced are considered to be of high quality. The visit is expected to increase trust and awareness of Medion products, especially among breeders in Malaysia and the surrounding region. Medion is committed to producing quality and innovative products that can answer the needs of all breeders and will actively continue to expand its distribution coverage to more countries.
