As a company engaged in the field of animal health, Medion continues to support the world of education. One of them is by collaborating with Gadjah Mada University. On December 1, 2023, Peter Yan as Commissioner of Medion signed a cooperation agreement with Prof. drh. Teguh Budipitojo, M.P., Ph.D. as Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Gadjah Mada University (FKH UGM) to support student skills in educational programs and also cooperation related to research.
The event was attended by 31 UGM representatives, including the Dean and Vice Dean 1,2,3 of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UGM, all Department Heads, Pharmacology Department Staff, the Head of the Administrative Office, and related parties. There were also three Medion teams, namely Peter Yan, Sugiyantoro as Medion District Assistant Manager, and Cherri David Trisunu as Medion Technical Sales Representative.
On the same occasion, a Studium Generale was also held, which is one of Medion’s educational programs in collaboration with renowned universities that aims to increase knowledge and develop student creativity. Prof. Dr. drh. Aris Haryanto, M.Si. as Vice Dean 3 of the Faculty of Animal Sciences UGM gave a speech and opened the event. Raising the topic “Animal Husbandry Business and the Role of Veterinarians in the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Industry”, this Studium Generale was presented by Peter Yan and attended by 130 students.
With this partnership, both parties are expected to build innovative and holistic collaborations that will have a positive impact on the wider community.
