On Thursday, November 30, 2023 engineering students from various universities visited the Medion factory in Cimareme, Padalarang. This activity was attended by 32 students from 8 universities, namely Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic, Bandung State Polytechnic, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Maranatha Christian University, Parahyangan Catholic University, Semarang State University, Jenderal Achmad Yani University, and Telkom University. This activity aims to improve the quality of student knowledge and provide an overview of the role of engineering graduates in the veterinary industry.

As part of the program, students were invited to a plant tour of the Biological Product (Freeze Drying and HVAC), Power House, and Engineering Procurement Construction sections. During the plant tour, the students were shown how technology is utilized at Medion. They were also given a brief explanation of the production process in Biological Product delivered by Apt. Agung Setiawan Yahya, S.Farm. as Quality System Assurance Assistant Manager of Medion. Furthermore, Hermawanto Proanto, A.Md. as Product & Services Management Assistant Manager of Medion presented the material “Technology Transformation & Digitalization of the Poultry Industry”. The activity ended with alumni sharing from engineering graduates who work at Medion. The Medion team shared experiences about the scope of work, career opportunities, and what needs to be prepared to enter the workforce. The participants were active in discussions and questions and answers about both educational materials and sharing sessions.

During the activity, all the students were very enthusiastic and gave positive responses. They hope that Medion can continue to hold programs that add insight and support students to increase their competencies. Medion always supports activities in the educational world through various programs that can provide benefits to the surrounding community.
